Youth Educational Scholorship
Program Policy

A. Eligibility:
The following are eligibility criteria and maximum percentage weight that could be given for each criterion:

Criteria weight in points
1. Student applicant must be a high school senior or freshman in college with a scholastic grade of 2.0 GPA or higher.
   a. 2.0 GPA = 10%
   b. 3.0 GPA = 15%
   c. 4.0 GPA = 20%
2. Parents of the applicant are registered members of FASCOT for the past 3 years. 20%
3. Student applicant and/or parents have volunteered in at least two of the annual FASCOT events within the last year. 25%
4. Voluntary community service with FASCOT or other civic organizations. 20%
Total percentage points 100%

B. Funds and Awards
1. Maximum scholarship to be awarded per student shall not exceed $500 = 100%. The scholarship amount to be awarded shall be determined by the board.
2. Members of the board who are related to an applicant must disclose the relationship before any scholarship awarding decision will be made.
3. Any member of the board who has a known or disclosed relations by affinity (marriage) and/or consaguinity (blood) to any of the applicants may voluntarily recuse himself/herself or will be requested to recuse himself/herself from participating in awarding the scholarship.

C. Program Timeline: Deadlines
Application open to anyone meeting the criteria. Open invitation to apply for scholarship will be announced via FASCOT's newsletter and on fascot.com website. April 1st
• Application deadline- all documentation must be received by May 21st.
• Awarded applicants will be notified either by mail or phone by June 4th.
• Awarding of the scholarships at the Pista sa Nayon on June 11th.
